Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), which we provide through our insurance partner AIG, offers extensive protection to all passengers including the driver.Please request PAI at the rental desk when you arrive to collect your vehicle.

Personal Accident Insurance Terms & Conditions
Please note that only the most important items can be touched on in the following bullet list. On request, Avis will send you a copy of the complete insurance policy.
- Among others, the insurer is not obliged to pay if the influence of alcohol or drugs is proved, in case of pregnancy, racing or the violation of the Avis rental agreement.
- There is a deductible of €70 per person for emergency medical expenses.
- Theft must be reported to the police. Please request a copy of the report from them or a written confirmation or at least their crime reference number.
- In the first instance, any claim must be reported to the nearest Avis station.
- This cover is valid in all countries which you are permitted to enter according to your Avis rental agreement.
- The insurance amounts for consences of accidents apply in addition to any other personal accident or life insurance policies which may exist for the occupants of the Avis vehicle.
- If there are similar covers elsewhere for the driver or the passengers of the Avis vehicle each one of them is free to file a claim here or there.
- The vehicle must be locked and items must be stored in the luggage compartments. Certain personal items are not covered. Examples of exclusions include money, personal documents, passports, etc.
- A maximum of €350 is paid per stolen item.
