Orio al Serio International Airport is located 45 kilometres north-east of Milan, close to the medieval city of the Bergamo, in the heart of Lombardy.The narrow streets of Bergamo Alta (the ancient ‘upper town’) are surrounded by the 16th century city walls, built during the rule of the Venetians.
